In this video Paul talks about different areas from where leakages might occur -- from parasite affiliates who overwrite cookies, advertisements on Google Adsense, separate shopping carts or payment systems on merchants to phone orders where the toll free 1800 numbers are mentioned.
I would definitely recommend this blog as a great source of information for all affiliates. Please check the video on Affiliate tip - this is truly educating for affiliates and would definitely be one of the key areas partners should know if they are in the affiliate business!
Based on the above topic, I would like to touch upon how the Mondera Affiliate program handles leaks. On parasite affiliates, I make sure to check our program every day, participate on Affiliate forum ABestWeb which has a wealth of information about Affiliate Industry, parasite Marketing and parasite Affiliates. Every time a parasite affiliate is listed they get booted out of our affiliate program.
On the Google Adsense, we have an in-house SEO team which keeps a regular check on the trade mark bidding and the same is clearly listed on the terms of service on the Mondera affiliate program.
With the Shopping cart issue, Mondera has a shopping cart developed by in-house team and second is the Google check out where we tested few orders which doesn’t loose the tracking code for the traffic that comes from affiliate sites.
Finally the Telephone numbers we have a system set up on Mondera over 10 years ago that embeds the tracking code into the product SKU on the web pages. When a customer calls in to place an order our team is automatically tuned to request the tracking code as a result tracking all phone orders.
At Mondera we need to measure where all our sales come from and hence we track source ids very diligently. Losing tracking is not in our interest, robbing our partners of their fair commission is even less in our interest. Feel free to test out our CR team and if anyone does not ask you for the full SKU for making an order, let me have their name.
So why do Mondera have the 1800 number back into the top bar?
Long back we had a customer survey that resulted in customers mentioning that contacting Mondera was difficult as our number was not easily visible.
Feel free to post your questions comments or suggestions below, and I shall entertain every one of your comments with respect.
